SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science

The SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science is a joint collaboration between the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China and the University of Delaware. Three undergraduate programs will be offered in the joint institute: UD’s bachelor of science programs in management information systems, finance and operations management from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.

UD is responsible for curriculum, teaching courses at the SWUFE campus during students’ first three years and teaching students in the SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at the UD campus during the students’ fourth year.

Located in Chengdu, the western economic center of China, SWUFE is the best business and economics university in western China and is ranked among the top three of such universities in all of China. It is best known for its finance education and has been consistently ranked first in that field in China by the Ministry of Education.
