Lerner Professional Attire Fund
The Lerner Professional Attire Fund offers financial support of up to $250 to approved students for the acquisition of professional attire tailored for upcoming interviews, job searches, internships or leadership opportunities.
The fund aims to empower students to obtain attire that instills confidence and comfort during interviews or in the workplace. Acknowledging the potential disparities in professional attire standards, we recognize that these expectations may not always be fair or equitable. Obtaining suitable attire can pose a financial challenge for individuals engaged in job searches, and these standards can significantly impact a candidate’s confidence, comfort and ability to present an authentic version of themselves.
How to Apply
You may apply to the fund once per academic year.
Criteria for Professional Attire Grant eligibility:
- You are currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at the Lerner College, University of Delaware.
- You must show financial need and/or extenuating personal circumstances. All information on the application will be taken into consideration when deciding on awards.
Requests will be fully funded, partially funded or declined depending on financial need, strength of application materials and availability of funds. The Office of Financial Aid may be consulted before final award decisions are made.
Awards will be disbursed in the form of an e-gift card. Please note that your award may be subject to taxation.
